Join Orthodox Christians across the country in supplication each day of the Dormition Fast for the women, men, babies, and all those involved in and affected by abortion!  As Orthodox Christians, one thing that we can uniquely bring to the pro-life movement is our prayers.  Since we are accustomed to joining and intensifying our prayers with fasting, what better time for focused pro-life prayer than during a fasting period of the Church?  Orthodox Christians for Life has put together a small booklet containing a prayer for each day of the Dormition Fast, helping us to honor her who bore our Lord in her womb by praying for those in the womb, the most marginalized and oppressed part of the human race, especially in the face of abortion.  May the Lord hear our prayers and guide our steps, and help our nation to turn from the great sin of abortion to one where all human life is nurtured and cared for, whether in the womb, in the hospital bed, on the street, or in comfortable homes.  Several copies of the Dormition Fast Prayer Vigil Booklet are available in the narthex.  The prayers can also be found online at https://oclife.org/dormitionfastprayers.  Please consider adding these important prayers to your daily prayers, and – as part of our lenten offering of alms – consider working with our Outreach Committee to support the struggling parents of our community, so that they might be strengthened to do what is just and right!
